Privacy policy

Into-it Enterprises Ltd ("Into-it") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users of our website and browser extension (together, the "Sites"). This policy explains how we handle your information.

1. HOW YOU CAN CONTACT US

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, please email us at lee@into-it.co.uk.

2. WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Into-it does not collect, transmit or store any personal information about you.

When you select your favourite artists in our extension, those preferences are linked to a random, anonymous identifier assigned to your copy of the extension. This identifier is not tied to your name, email address, browsing history or any other personally identifiable information.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

Your preferences are used only to show you the music notifications you’ve chosen to receive.

They are stored both locally in your browser and in our backend database. The database record is anonymised and contains no personal information. This design allows us to keep your preferences in sync with the list of active artists we manage.

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not share or transfer your information with third parties. Your preferences remain private and cannot be linked back to you.

5. HOW SECURE IS YOUR INFORMATION?

Your anonymised preferences are stored securely in our systems and never combined with information that could identify you. We adopt robust technologies and policies to ensure the information we hold is suitably protected from unauthorised access, accidental loss or misuse.

6. WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS UNDER DATA PROTECTION LAWS?

Under UK and EU data protection law (including the GDPR), you have several rights in relation to your personal information — such as the right to access it, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, transfer it or object to its processing.

In practice, these rights do not apply to Into-it because we do not collect, store or process any personal data. All of your musical preferences are anonymous and cannot be linked to you as an individual.

We include this section as a helpful reminder of your rights more generally. If you have any questions about them or want further information, you can contact us at lee@into-it.co.uk, or reach out directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

7. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

If we make any changes to this policy, we will post them on our Sites. If the changes are significant, we will provide a clear notice on our Sites. Please check back occasionally to stay up to date.

This privacy policy was last updated on 29.09.2025.

8. COMPLAINTS
